This week's doorway is the side door of Saint Michael's church in Porchefontaine neighbourhood, which I was showing you last week. There is a passage on Artsy Versailles today.
Je vous montrais l'église à Porchefontaine la semaine dernière. Il y a un passage sur Artsy Versailles aujourd'hui.
Beautiful wood, I like the matching 'thingy' above the door (that's a fancy architectural term, ya know?).
ReplyDeleteNo closeup of the peeling paint, sorry. Maybe if I pay another visit, I want to go back.
This is much simpler than some you show, but nevertheless it is lovely. The bench is a universal form. I have seen them also in the UK and all over the USA, including in my back yard.
ReplyDeleteIt's a perfect photo: the lighting is spot on, the colors are radiant, the door, bench, window and foliage all fit together...can't ask for anything more!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your concern about Haley...we think she'll be OK...I'll let you know tomorrow evening...
I love the colors! Such a beautiful and welcoming doorway.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to sit and wile away a little time.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I would love to have a doorway like this.

It looks very inviting.
ReplyDeleteThere is dignity and charm here. We need more red doors.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and simple church doorway. And a nice bench to sit on and enjoy the sunshine, while the service is going on inside :)
ReplyDeleteThis door is completely adorable and I love the composition with that bench, the angle is perfect!

So different next to the plain white smoothness.
ReplyDeleteUn banc, une porte, le rêve! et en plus , les couleurs sont douces, on dirait du david Hamilton..So romantic!
ReplyDeleteVery welcoming entrance. The colors of the foliage and the bench add to the appeal.
ReplyDeleteNot only are you a fabulous photographer, now writing a book : )
une porte lumineuse
ReplyDeleteA fabulous splash of colour. x
ReplyDeletewhat a charming composition you've made here, ciel. we all would love to sit in the sun on that bench.
ReplyDeleteLove this red door framed in white.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite of your doors. Not ornate but dignified in its simplicity. Great light.
ReplyDeleteOoh and it matches the roof! Delightful spot :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely corner! Love the stone wall and the contrasting orange colour.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the congratulations, Ciel.
Beautiful. I love this scene. (At least the door is all one tone!) : )
ReplyDeleteBeaucoup de charme et de lumière!
ReplyDeleteBonjour!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know we are back home and Haley is doing very well. The vet didn't say much other than he was pleased with how the operation went.
He cut one large and one small cancer from her tail but left the tail intact.
Hopefully, she'll be around a while longer!
Thanks for caring.
What a pretty church entrance.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the nicest bench-related pictures around and the doorway is just gorgeous. Brava!
ReplyDeleteWhat an oasis it must be !
