ReplyDeleteYour thoughts about books and bookstores were fascinating. I think most of us mix independents, big box bookstores and Amazon, depending on the books and our needs. I am still e-book free, though.
A charming sentiment, but we prefer one another's company to red hearts and chocolates. There is a decent bottle of Champagne handy, though.

ReplyDeleteYour patisserie has done a sweet job of window dressing.
ReplyDelete[But don't ask me what I really think of V Day... it's similar to your thoughts. I spent two decades making the kind of decor in that window; it was fun business while it lasted. But it's NOT part of our couple culture. I can tell you I did not receive a box of chocolates today... or a rose. In fact, I don't think it even registered in the mind of my sweetie (who adores me) that is was V Day. And I've never understood why this was a "male buy for female" day. :-D ]
Oh what a wonderful photo. Perfect for this day.
ReplyDeleteah, a lovely window and I can only imagine the beauty within this shop!
