I am pleased that you came and visited my blog so that I could come and see yours. My family and I were among those 7 million visitors to the palace at Versailles about 20 years ago. Very beautiful and I wish we had been able to spend much more time there - one of those quick tour things. Anyway, I look forward to visiting your blog often, and I hope to see you at mine.
@ Andrew: this isn't the Trianon castle where Marie-Antoinette liked to stay, but the hotel located on the edge of the palace grounds. If you would like to see the Trianon castle, you might want to click either on the "Petit Trianon" or on the "Grand Trianon" labels at the bottom of the sidebar.
@ Leif: nope! A) it's a Porsche, wrong car and B) had it been James Bond, he would have been equipped to drive on snow and ice! :-)
That is very classic and elegant, Ciel. As to Mark Twain, he lived in Hartford for 17 years, and later he lived in Redding, CT, from 1908 to his death in 1910. Redding is next door to Ridgefield, where you lived for a while!

Everything looks lovely. Even we got some more flurries today. Snow on the east coast may jeopardize our flight to NY tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe Trianon Palace!!! The place where Marie Antoinette could be herself. I love this place I don't remember seeing the many times I walked Versailles
