I love all the lights drooping across the street. But what I love most is how lively this street is. Here our downtown goes to sleep after the workers go home.
Are all areas decorated so nicely or just certain parts? We don't see much street decoration here, although people have really taken to "lighting" up their homes!
I like this time of year with the cold dark evenings, the Christmas lights, and then to come home and "cwtch" up in the warm. [ a bit of Welsh for you there].
Bonjour chère Ciel! J'imagine le sentiment de bonheur dans le coeur, quand vous pouvez marcher dans une rue comme ça. Charmants décorations et les lumières sont romantiques! bises Léia
Re your comment on Florida Fotos: It is an old photo, scanned. I do believe, however, that nothing has changed.
The "Open" sign is necessary because if there is bad weather or high seas with rip currents or sharks about, they shut these places down - in fact, sometimes they will shut down the beaches for swimming.
Your streets are in charming holiday spirit... and you remind me I need to go out and capture the light here too. If only I didn't dread the pre-xmas shopping traffic... it's insane.

It's good to think of Versailles of a plece where is actually cold now. My only memories are so different...
ReplyDeleteJ'aime les rues le soir, illuminées, quand les gens sortent des bureaux et rentrent, il y a une ambiance particulière..
ReplyDeleteI can feel the hustle and bustle of shoppers going to and fro trying to finish their all errands. Love that first shot -- very festive!
