This (lovely) little shop in Saint-Louis neighbourhood invites you to buy locally (the red 'acheter versaillais' sticker). I wish all of you who celebrate Christmas a wonderful Christmas Eve!
*********

This is beautiful wish it was showing here in Mobile, Alabama
ReplyDeleteVery nice little shop. The greens out front are meticulously groomed.
ReplyDeleteThe big jolly guy will be here soon!
ReplyDelete'Tis a beautiful shop and I appreciate the sentiment...our local Chamber of Commerce speaks often to the effect we in Ocala should support our local merchants.
ReplyDeleteWe try and we do. But sometimes we stray onto the Internet. Between Walmart and the Internet we're lucky to have local businesses at all! :-)
And the same wishes to you! No one has a Buy St. Louis campaign but then we don't have Paris down the street. However, some wealthy people do go to Chicago to shop for the high-end stuff, even though it's 500 km away.
ReplyDeleteThat is the most charming photo! Love the snowflakes dropping down. Merry Christmas eve Ciel!
ReplyDeleteThis shop is really lovely. I am quite happy with many of our local shops, mostly in walking distance from home.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - Happy Christmas Eve!
ReplyDeleteBuona Vigilia di Natale!
Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noël
Best wishes for this holiday and the rest of the year.
ReplyDeletethe same is wished for you.
ReplyDeleteThink Globaly, buy localy!
@ Malyss: the idea I think is to get people to buy in small shops rather than the two big shopping malls right next to Versailles!
ReplyDeleteIt is the day before Christmas isn't it. YAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll wait up to see if I can see Jolly Old Saint Nick.
Joyeux Noel!

Thank you! And yes, the picture shows one from my own collection!
ReplyDeleteBye x x x
"Versaillais" tu veux dire qu'il vend des petit serre-tête pour retenir le carré afin qu'il ne dépasse, des kilts vert de fond, des cargigans marines et des colliers de perle ainsi que des des foulards de soie à motifs cavaliers ?
ReplyDeleteOu alors ce sont des produits produits à Versailles et je me demande bien ce que ce puit être. En tous les cas c'est une très good idea.
Joyeux Noël (pas Versaillais je présume) à toi !
I share the sentiment... I have only been to a Wal*Mart once in my life and it was to "see" it for business research... I felt like I lost my virginity (sssshhh, don't tell anyone). Small shops for me! And this one would be a delight to shop in. Ciel, I wish you a very warm Christmas Eve...
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely Christmas - so glad to have "met" you in 2010. Love from Charlotte Bronte!!xxx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I'm planning a trip to Paris and surrounds in 2011 -- maybe I'll make it there to do a little shopping! Joyeux Noel!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. Merry Christmas to you and your family from me and Patty.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Ciel. Whenever possible, I like to visit local shops instead of the big chain stores. It is becoming harder to do every year.
ReplyDeleteYou have offered many beautiful images this year. Have a Merry Christmas. I look forward to seeing what you will show in 2011.
Joyeuses fêtes!

These are lovely. We have a "buy local" decal on our stores too. Nice to see it's also in other countries. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI hope Father Christmas didn't skip your house. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are planning a trip to Europe to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2014 (we're trying to save for it now). I'm thinking a jaunt to Versailles is in order, so you can show us around these lovely places! :)
