Years ago, my dear Ciel, when but a child, visiting my grandmother on her farm in northern Minnesota, I helped my uncle milk the cows.
It was great fun, but very hard on the hands! The cats (there were about 15) would line up and wait until I squirted milk in their direction. Usually they got it all over their faces or in their eyes but they didn't seem to mind and just licked it off.
Milking cows is hard work and that, of course, is why most farmers who could afford them, went to milking machines.
Windows in windows, arches in squares... very cool, Ciel.
[I do agree one needs the four seasons, so I am happy when I can visit Europe or North America for a few weeks in the winter and can wear my warm woollies. But a few weeks is enough. :-D ]
You got me laughing this afternoon. Merci! I once rode a bike into a pigsty, which caused the bike to come to an abrupt halt, which caused me to fly over the handlebars into the pig slop!
I think it took several months of hard scrubbing in the bathtub to get the stink out!
Fun times, eh? I can just see you falling backward into a dung heap. Is that the same as a manure pile? :-)
Your photo has a very "painterly" look and it could be hanging in a grand salon of art ... It does help that the architecture is quite photogenic but I still think that it is the skill/talent of the photographer.
Hi Ciel. This is a beautiful photo. I'll be in Paris but once again it looks like I won't make it to Versailles. I'll let you know if things change.
I invite you to look at mon autre blog for my photos of France,Belgium and Switzerland. I hope to start posting them during my trip and even when I return home.
Thank you for visiting and leaving a thought! Sorry about the moderation, a bit tired of spam at the moment!
Merci de votre visite très appréciée et de laisser une pensée ! Désolée de devoir modérer vos commentaires, VDP en a un peu marre des spammeurs en ce moment !
Neat catch! Such a photographic place!
ReplyDeleteVery fine photography! One sees the smaller panes up front as a preview of the whole window in the rear. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCare to share your recipe?
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice metaphor, since the mistress of the house was so self-absorbed.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection! Like the wording on the window trim.
ReplyDeletesuperbe reflet, on dirait presque un trompe l'oeil. Bon Weekend
ReplyDeletePerfect reflection photo. It looks like a painting. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteA nice idea, a beautiful building reflecting itself: a bit narcissistic but quite elegant!
ReplyDeleteArches in squares, nice.
ReplyDeleteThats a really imaginitive shot. Love it - wish I could wander around Versaille today instead of going to work.x
ReplyDeleteI looks like a natural extension of the building, neat!
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective, upon reflection.
