Wednesday Doorway: la porte du détail de la semaine dernière

Last week I showed you a detail (it was here). This is the whole door. Some of you were wondering if it was a mansion or a 'rich' house. Not at all. Just your ordinary house.

    Well, you can't get a door like that at Bricorama (not that I really know much about Bricorama, I cheated and googled for "Home Depot France").

    Americans would assume that anything this old and ornate was a "rich" house. Sure beats a double-wide mobile home here.

    Well only in France would this be considered an ordinary door (since everything seems to be so beautiful). Our ordinary doors are quite...different...ugly.

    Oui c'est logique que cette porte ne pouvait être en bois, où avais je la tête ? Mais le détail avait été très bien pris exploitant l'éclairage pour bien faire ressortir les reliefs, je profite de l'occasion pour te le dire...
