Meet the producer! Here's a very nice gent I met on Saturday at the farmers market. His goat's cheese is delicious, so are his apple juice and various pâtés, notably goat's pâté, which I had never tried. Not only did I taste it, but I brought some home. As well as pâtés, Villeneuve farm near Rambouillet offers a variety of produce, including poultry, milk, butter, cream, eggs and cheese.

Ca me manque terriblement.
ReplyDeleteRe your comments about the pow wow. If you ever have an opportunity to attend it is worth it. I am sure with your frequent trips to the PNW you will have an opportunity.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I think. I had goat's milk once when I was in the Navy - we overnighted once in the Azores...lots of goats. Isn't pate made of liver? Omg!
ReplyDeletePoultry, milk, butter, cream, eggs and cheese sound wonderful.
All those delectable dainties made from goat's milk...I would be in gustatory heaven.
ReplyDeleteMmmm. My taste buds are flowing. Is he using a tree slice as a tray? Unusual.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the serving tray, how rustic! I'm too much of a wus to eat pâté (I doubt wus translates well to French, Urban Dictionary has a definition). It looks like a fun place to walk about!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, one of the many reasons to love France. I hope the farmer still has the fuel to get his goods to market.
ReplyDeleteOooh, yumm! That sounds marvelous. I would love to have places like that around here. (Although I have to admit to my juvenile tastes and say I've never had pates)
ReplyDeleteThey sell it here too at the Farmers market but I don't care to try it. I am not as brave at tasting new things. . . new to me
ReplyDeleteThis evening at supper, in the form of a grilled cheese sandwich, I finished off my Portland Farmers' Market goat cheese from last Wednesday. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm--I have never tried goat anything. I even have two goats--but they are still young and they are fibre goats. I would try though. MB
ReplyDeletePâtés de chèvre, ça , je n'ai jamais gouté!j'aime bien la presentation sur la tranche d'arbre!
ReplyDeleteAnything from goats is good.
ReplyDeleteI love his platter.
French markets are a real treat when we come camping to France - a proper slice of life. xxx
ReplyDeleteon sent la décroissance avec ce magnifique plateau
