Still some photos of the Petit Trianon outing in August! This is the Love Temple, built by architect Richard Mique and standing on a small island opposite the Petit Trianon castle. The statue in the middle? Patience! (Actually, I had already shown you this but from further away).

Hey! I am the first one here for a change. Nice angle on that photograph, Ciel. Youbenefitted from a colorful sky, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you framed this...and it's almost like there are two different skies up there. Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Mr. Mique was trying to send a message? That patience and love go hand in hand, don't they?
ReplyDeleteI'm chuckling a little, because 'Love Temple' sounds like something out of a bad movie, not a beautiful place to visit.
How beautiful. Hope your weekend is going well.
ReplyDeleteLove Temple, eh? So if I stood in the middle and a handsome cowboy came strolling by we would fall in love--immediately. Why yes, you say. MB
ReplyDeleteA statue of Patience in such a beautiful scenery, this is interesting and unusual.
ReplyDeleteTu as très joliment cadré ta photo avec les feuilles des arbres.. Et tu as aussi très bien rendu le charme de l'amour: la patience, la discrétion, l'attente, qui font monter le désir..de voir enfin la statue! :)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful indeed :o)
ReplyDeleteI just love the name Love Temple, and to have a statue named Patience standing in the middle is oh, so appropriate!
ReplyDelete@ all: the statue isn't patience... You, however, have to be patient and wait until tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a fabulous sky! I was just going to ask what the statue was doing...but I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow ;D
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful spot!
ReplyDeleteI love that, Patience in the middle of the Love Temple. How wise!
ReplyDeletePretty amazing piece of architecture. Can't wait till tomorrow to find out about the statue. Love a mystery.
ReplyDeleteRe your comment about Polly: She came damn close and would of if she could of!
ReplyDeleteNeat outdoor temple!
ReplyDeleteI'm enchanted by the angle in this picture, adorable columns!
ReplyDeleteLéia
This is really pretty!!
ReplyDeletePretty place... and you got is from a nice angle on a blue-sky day. Most of us could use a little more patience...
