Secrets exchanged and plans hatched on Sunday when the temperature soared to about 90° making me go in search of a cool breeze in Balbi park which was originally created in 1786 by the Count of Provence, Louis the 16th's brother and future Louis the 18th.

Beautiful!! How is the humidity there? We are very dry here and that's what we're used to. It got to 16% humidity the other day and everyone was wilting!
ReplyDeleteI knew the Louees did some good things! It's a gorgeous place. A good place to take surreptitious photos, too, obviously. How did you find your about "secrets exchanged and plans hatched"? Hiding in the bushes, heh?
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh!
Me again...re your question. That's the same ol' stuffed gator. But last week a 13-foot gator bit a worker at Silver Springs park and put him in the hospital in serious condition...gotta be careful! Lotsa gators in the Withlacochee, too.
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed that it was that hot; its so green and lush! Nice summer pics.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a dear sister or dear friend with whom to share such young, green secrets. I suspect you have sisters all over the planet because of this blog and you can whisper your secrets to the breeze and send them wherever you wish them to go.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is adorable, it's so nice to have a sister to share our thoughts and feelings!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
I like the place but I'm a little worried about the canicule...
ReplyDeleteIt looks cool there, nice shade from the trees. Beautiful scenery. So far, we've had 14 days at 90 or higher this June. Today will be 15, then we get a break for a few days.
ReplyDeleteCome on over here Ciel. As I type this, it's 50 F outside.
ReplyDeleteSo lush and green--a perfect summer hideaway. MB
ReplyDeleteLes enfants sont mignons!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that first photo! Reminds me of how my best friend and I would pretend to be Anne and Diana from Anne of Green Gables. I hope those two aren't cutting their hair like we did ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnchanting spot, Ciel. I love the inclusion of the children!
ReplyDeleteSharon
90°? It's much cooler here. :)
ReplyDeleteThis park looks like a place I'd like to explore.
Spectacular place. And the photos sublime.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious scene you stumbled upon. Nicely captured. I love this one.
