Les ruches du domaine de Madame Elisabeth


The reason for yesterday's flowers is that three beehives have been set up in the grounds of Madame Elisabeth's orangerie! Someone's having a ball!

    That looks like a bumblebee that I was watching the other day going into the flowers. Igot some picture but I forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder. ;-) I think this one is nicer than mine.

    I like the macro for this. such vibrant colors and detail in the bee and flower. He dives in head first! Thanks for all of your wonderful comments about the phoenix skyline photo and solar eclipse photos. Your comments were much appreciated. I am trying to improve my technical ability and the solar eclipse was a bit daunting and I was fearful of not getting any decent photos so I was very lucky and was prepared enough to take advantage of the eclipse through photos. I hope all is well. Also, we now started a new travel photo site so if you like fabulous photos, especially of people -one of my favorite subjects when I travel- check out www.vivalavoyage.com.     @ Karen and BaysideLife: Unfortunately, I don't think the honey is sold as Madame Elisabeth's honey. :-) They have only been set up this year though, so maybe it'll be on sale at the market next year?
