Ceci n'est pas Versailles !

Well, I'm back from the westernmost part of France. Just this once, here are several photos of what proved to be a rainy holiday. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but five days were simply Monsoon-like. Me voilà de retour de Quimper. Une entorse aux photos versaillaises, voici quelques photos pluvieuses. Bien évidemment, il n'a pas plu tout le temps, mais pendant cinq jours ce fut la mousson !
Every evening the sky was gorgeous. Tous les soirs, le ciel était superbe !
Every morning, the same view changed drastically! Tous les matins, la même vue était méconnaissable !
It didn't stop me from going places! Ca ne m'a pas empêchée de bouger !

I even enjoyed ze beach! Je suis même allée à la plage !
A holiday like this one involves a lot of reading... Evidemment, j'ai beaucoup lu...
And finally...! Ecstasy! Et finalement, ce fut l'extase !
I hope you are all well! J'espère que vous allez tous bien !

  1. Funny way to describe your holiday: rain, some good books and nice weather at last. I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

  4. Welcome!!! It is so nice to have you back! CDP simply hasn't been the same!

And what a great series of photos...so sorry about the weather...but you must have caught up on some reading...I like the photo of the highway...a bit fearsome. And "ecstasy" is a perfect way to end a holiday and a photo series!

Hope that your knee has healed, too.

    Greetings from Lois Anne also!

Truly a bilingual blogger reading all those books one in English, one in French! Sounds you didn't let the weather rain on your parade! Welcome back to blog-land.

  13. Thank you for those great holiday shots and comments. It feels as if you took us along with you. I can just imagine waking up to rain, day after day. But it really gave you permission to rest and read a bit, didn't it? And then the glorious day on the water, rather than under the weather. Wonderful!

  15. The first photo of the clouds is my favorite. They look so full that they're about to burst with rain. The sailboats are lovely on the blue water with the beautiful sky behind.

  16. Welcome back. I missed your posts and the comments on mine. The rain feels so good. I've moved to the dry part of the state after living in a cool rain forest for 39 yrs and I can't wait for a cooling shower.

  18. Oh, beautiful skies! And the beach shot...perfect for your book "Tales Out of Oregon." That's what Oregon's coast is like a majority of the time. It's part of what makes the Oregon Coast so beautiful.

  20. Like everyone else, I'm delighted to see you back! What an amazing week of weather you had. And you read about Oregon :) I don't know that book. I'm online all the time. A week of reading sounds nice, but you probably would have liked a week of better tourist weather. Maybe you'll have to go back! I enjoyed your travel photos.
