It's cornflower time at the flower market! I love cornflowers though they are so rarely found these days out in the fields.

C'est la saison des bleuets au marché aux fleurs. J'adore les bleuets, ils se font si rares au bord des champs.
Strangely in Italian this is called fiordaliso. (Nothing to do with the fleur de lys...)
ReplyDeleteSo so beautiful. such a striking blue. they make me cool just looking at them. Thank you!!! MB
ReplyDeleteJe n'en ai jamais vu dans un champ ici en France... uniquement chez des floristes... quel bleu magnifique quand même, bleu profond... royal...
ReplyDeleteShows how much I know! I thought cornflowers would be yellow.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo; just superb color!
Beautiful blue flowers. Like Jacob, I too thought cornflowers would be yellow.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of these flowers.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could buy you a bunch!

I love cornflowers, too. Here they are annuals but they do reseed themselves if I don't mess around too much with the soil in my gardens.
ReplyDeleteHate to say it, but, I have never heard of them. Very pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteWow! I don't think I ever saw blue cornflowers - and THAT is an incredible blue!!
ReplyDeleteWow - that is some serious blue!
Ladies and gents: cornflowers ARE blue! At least the ones that used to grow wild with poppies in the fields when I was a child! It was so pretty, red and blue amidst the wheat...
ReplyDeletethe color of these little beauties is divine!

What a vibrant blue, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDelightful photo of vibrant blue flowers. Makes me want to drive to the store and try to find something similar to put on my kitchen table.
ReplyDeleteIn preparation for my visit, I have just watched Le Roi Soleil for the third time and am reading one biography of Louis XIV and have another one ordered.
Salut mon amie! In fact, I did help Aref get his Afghanistan blog registered with CDP so I'm also surprised that it didn't show up on the CDP site?? C'est bizarre, je sais!
ReplyDeleteBon weekend! Bonjour d'EAGAN daily photo
Great color of the flowers:)
