Yellow Theme Day: the aftermath
This is the window of an antiques dealer/decorator almost opposite the yellow Sisters Café... ------------------------------ Voici l'une des vitrines d'un antiquaire-décorateur presque en face du Sisters Café jaune d'hier...
Yay we get to be the first to comment on the blog of a person who is so generous with comments to the rest of the city daily photo world! Looks like you just couldn't get yellow off of your mind. Looks like a chair deserving of a spot in Versailles.
Same here. The yellow theme made me aware of all the yellow around me. Yellow everywhere. I found a giant yellow Mary Poppins hot air balloon at Downtown Disney and I think it will be my next post. I like your chair and the reflections. My other blog has photos of Paris windows from my trip and I like the effect of the reflections.
i like the angle and creativity in the shot. very unique. I am glad you enjoyed the Yellow Chihuly Saffron Tower for theme day! It was quite a different type of yellow. Thanks for your comments.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't look too comfortable...but antiques aren't supposed to be comfortable...right?
ReplyDeleteAt first the chair appeared to be outside...
Creative photography, CQ!
I don't know about you, but I was seeing yellow everywhere today. It was making me crazy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful fabric.

Alors là, c'est du grand Art.

♫♪ Combien vaut "cette chaise",
dans la vitrine ? ♫♪
Ah, so much softer and richer a yellow than the cafe', but it just doesn't cut the mustard like yesterday's post, Ciel. :)
ReplyDeleteUne autre ambiance! J'aimerais bien voir Olivier assis sur ce fauteuil dans la vitrine, hi, hi!
ReplyDeleteWindow reflections make this chair a little bit mysterious. It looks like a ghost's place :-))
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting play on planes of images.
ReplyDeleteClever title, I like it! I like the chair and your use of reflections to show the cafe across the way.
ReplyDeleteThe reflection is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteGreat post, CQ. This photo has such interesting depth.
ReplyDeleteNow this is intelligent photography! Good catch.
ReplyDeleteThis chair is... So French :-) --- Reflection of buildings in background makes the photo. You can fins same kind of buildings in Torino too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats - you show a great find in the window.
ReplyDeleteI saw this only today, sorry I missed it: great idea and excellent shot!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought this was a "ghost chair" floating around, then I realized it was behind a window. Fooled me. Excellent composition!
ReplyDeleteThis one makes me hungry for another visit!
