La brasserie de l'hôtel de France

This is the brasserie-restaurant of the Hôtel de France, which is a stone's throw from the palace. The picture is a bit wobbly, I was er... at the wheel... stopped but had to start again as people were honking... Have a great weekend!

La brasserie de l'hôtel de France, à deux pas du château. La photo est un peu floue, j'étais... euh... au volant... arrêtée mais obligée de repartir trop vite pour cause de concert de klaxons derrière.... Bon weekend !

  1. That's really quite beautiful, CQ...another place I'm going to have to check out.

But, now I'm going to also to worry about you...I know you don't text message at the wheel...or yak on the phone, right.

    Sheesh!

  2. There is a Pulitzer for achievements "under deadline pressure", so it has to be another for taking pics "against honking (french) motorists".

  3. @Vogon Poet: in the Northern hemisphere, only Italian honkers beat French honkers!!
    @Jacob: no worries. I don't phone & drive. I stop!

  6. very good eye and capture while you were driving. I like the angle and the blue lighting. I am glad you enjoyed the Chihuly Saffron Tower in the desert setting. A very unique installation.

  12. Oh, we are so bad.. I've done it, too. Having the Daily Photo Blogs just puts pressure on us to get those pictures and sometimes they appear when we are behind the wheel..
Would be nice to have a chauffeur to drive for us.

Please be careful! Most of my photos are taken from a moving car too, but women cannot drive here in Saudi Arabia, so I'm not behind the wheel at the same time. That blue neon is beautiful!

  14. I am with Hilda and know that some wobbly moments create bright prospects.
Take care of you and have a great weekend.

  15. Bleu Royal : Parfait.

Prends en photo les conducteurs pressés la prochaine fois. Qu'on rigole à leur dépens.

    Dear Cieldequimper:

Just when we think nobody is looking at the blog, in pops a comment from you! Our mannequin would look right at home wandering around in this hotel!

  18. Ha! Funny! So the drivers of Versailles are just as impatient as the ones here? '-)

  21. I liked your post, it made me chuckle to think of you taking a picture and other drivers honking their horns at you. Your motto should be, "Have camera, will travel."
