Dernières photos de l'expo Anish Kapoor

Kapoor Versailles Sectional Body preparing for monadic singularity
The controversial Anish Kapoor exhibition in the palace gardens is drawing to an end, should you want to see it, hurry up, it ends on 1 November. VDP had already shown you several works (see them here, here and there) but had yet to show you the two last ones. This red cube, which is located in the star grove, is called 'Sectional body preparing for monadic singularity'. Should you understand what that means, please let VDP know. She did, however, like the inside of it which she thought was rather photogenic!

The last exhibit is called 'Descension', a vortex of hypnotic rushing water, very difficult to photograph!

While VDP did not like the gigantic 'Dirty Corner', also dubbed 'the queen's vagina', she cannot understand why it would have been vandalised a second time... The gold paint was added to hide the tags...

  1. I'm afraid I have no idea what it means but I do like the interior, and I like your first picture very much. The vortex I expect is quite visual in real life but dirty corner, I'm being polite, completely baffles me. Hope you're feeling better....

  3. Well, it photographs nicely, and the vortex is pretty good, too. No, I didn't care for "dirty corner," but defiling it is unacceptable. People need to learn to tolerate things they don't particularly like, since, after all, what we might like, someone else will hate, and what we might hate, someone else will like.

  4. The art work in your photos is striking. The first two are visually powerful, but I'm not sure what to think of "Dirty Corner". But the vandalism is just wrong. If someone doesn't like a work they should just move on, and not destroy it.

  9. Great shots, as for the vandalism... not good.

  10. I love the red cube and your photos are stunning. The vortex is kind of scary to me. I think I have some deep seated fear of being sucked into a whirlpool like that. Regardless of one's opinion of the art work, that vandalism is totally unacceptable.

  12. The artistic mind is sometimes difficult to fathom Ciel :) but you are right and have captured the essence of the 'whatever it is' :) I detest when vandals deface an artists work, so rude!

  13. I would love the experiment with the vortex using a tripod and long shutter speeds. It's sad that people feel the need to vandalize something just because they do not agree with it, go elsewhere or don't look at it. The red cube is freaky cool.

  14. Both the cube and the vortex are fascinating from the photographer's perspective!

  15. I do like the interior very much but I find some types of modern art so difficult to comprehend.

  16. I like the red cube but the others leave me a bit cold! Hate the vandalism!

  17. I like all of the art, but why must people vandalize? Tiresome.....

  19. Unusual, very visa and very modern.

  20. I fail to understand why vandals feel their tagging is more acceptable than the art they are defiling!
