VDP is back after a long break! Hope you are all well! VDP spent a lovely week in Cincinnati, Ohio, visiting a friend and brought back a few pictures... A few... Here's a selection!
Brooklyn bridge's predecessor! Same architect but built earlier!
Le prédécesseur du pont de Brooklyn ! Construit par le même architecte, mais antérieur !
VDP also had a glimpse of smalltown Indiana, these pictures were taken in Aurora!

The sky was amazing. Here below is 'the Greeting', a sculpture by George Carlson, representing a Blackfeet Indian at the Eiteljorg museum from the front:

And then of course VDP spent the remainder of her holidays in and around Quimper. She was and is still sick though and has a lot on her plate with remodelling going on at her home on top of work, so commenting might be a bit hit and miss for a few days. Back to Versailles tomorrow with September photos until VDP can get fresh material!

A lovely review of your time in Cincinnati and Indiana, as well as Quimper. Sorry to read that you aren't feeling well. Lots of chicken soup, orange juice, rest and warmth!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, I hope you mend quickly. Oh, remodeling? I'll be right over. Good luck, it can be unnerving.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of Cincinnati are beautiful. I've never been there.
Wow! Especially like that wave shot. :-)
ReplyDeleteCincinnati has a lot to offer. I can attest that driving over the bridge, to get into the city, during rush hour is insane!
ReplyDeleteHurray - you are back! Looks like you had a great time and I hope you feel better soon. I've only driven by Cincinnati on I75 but never been in the city - it looks great.
ReplyDeleteAn overwhelming return, impossible to pick favorites from these pictures. We're not that far from Cincinnati but I've never been there. Indianapolis, yes, once in a great while. Nice place but not very exciting. We're wrapping up a long weekend in Chicago to meet our new granddaughter. Now this is a serious big city.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are back. Hope you get well soon, as thats you and the rugby team thats not well.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time, fantastic set of images!
ReplyDeleteQuelle magnifique publication! Tu auras bien besoin de toute l’année pour revenir en pensées sur tous ces lieux et sur toutes tes impressions avant de repartir pour de nouvelles découvert...
ReplyDeleteCoup de coeur pour Charlotte-Adélaïde.
Lovely photos! The wave shot is my favorite. I hope you are feeling better.

Very sorry to hear that you're ill and hope that you get back to full health soon! Welcome back to CDP. You were missed!

Amazing photos. Looks like you had a totally awesome trip. Hope you'll feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh you're back thank heavens, I've been going crazy without my daily fix of Versaille. I love the Cincinnati picture where you are looking down on the cars and of course I love all the Quimper pictures. Hope you'll feel better soon and don't let the builders wear you down...

Oh la! Welcome back Ciel and with an amazing series of images from your trip, I enjoyed each and every one! J'adore Charlotte, what a very sweet travel companion :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo essay of Cinci.
ReplyDeleteYou kept saying you're not a "real" photographer (or something to that effect). I beg to differ, as these (and more) tell a very different story!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots, Ciel! Good to see you back.
ReplyDeleteGlad your back, Ciel! Looks like Charlotte-Adélaïde had a very good time!
