Another one of Anish Kapoor's exhibits in the palace gardens this summer is 'Sky Mirror', a large satellite dish type mirror in which the palace gardens and Grand Canal are reflected! VDP converted the original photo to monochrome because she liked it but you might prefer the colour one so here it is below! All Weekend Reflections are this way!
That one stands out beautifully, Ciel, particularly in colour.
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white version best, it's seems much more dramatic to me. At first glance when I saw the picture I thought it was a hot air balloon...
ReplyDeleteI like them both but for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great take on the theme! Not sure, though, of the artistic merit of the enterprise in either color or b&w.
ReplyDeleteYup. I am a color guy.
ReplyDeleteLove the black and white shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm a colour girl but I like the B&W too! I like this one a lot better than the other one that you showed us! ;-))
ReplyDeleteLovely reflection in that curved mirror. Like the b&w version.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white look very 1920's---not that I would actually know......

Great shots and love the contrasts between them. Enjoy your weekend. It must be time for Brittany soon.
ReplyDeleteDas ist cool, Ciel ! Sehr schön !
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou know what I think of B&W... and of Anish Kapoor!
ReplyDeleteIn this case, I prefer the B&W as the reflection seems clearer and I'm not distracted by the colour. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat great reflection, it's not a conventional but it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEverybody loves the B/W version, but I like the original colors..:)
Hugs
I recently read something about this art installation. Both shots are great but, I tend to go for the color.
ReplyDeleteI like both versions! I can imagine myself seeing this and rushing toward it to take some pictures. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! One of my favorite things as I search for reflections is the old reflected in something modern! Love it!
ReplyDeleteIf i had to pick one I like best, it would be the B & W one. MArvellous reflection. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What a super reflection Ciel, I like them both but I do love to see that sky of bleu :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Inspector Frost haha!
Great idea about a "Sky Mirror" - the reflection is fantastic...both photos look amazing...
ReplyDeletewow- what a super reflection. I think I like the color one best!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so unusual, a great shot !
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany
It's like watching the world through a magnifying glass, awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like Anish Kapoor's work and prefer the one in colour here. Such a great reflection.
ReplyDeletesuper jolie! j'aime la photo en couleur.
ReplyDeleteWhich one is you?
ReplyDeleteColor version wins I think.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool. Good reflections.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brillant reflection, it looks a bit mysterious to me.
