VDP still has a few shots of Toile de Jouy museum to show you. These are the modern takes on the famous fabric, all of which were creations for a 'made in Jouy' event in 2006! A gorgeous umbrella made my Hervé Matejewski.
Below, a princess-like wedding gown by Olivier Petigny, 2006.
An armchair and a commode by Serge Olivarès. You had seen toile de Jouy upholstering here.
And finally, a pair of Versace trousers!
Et pour finir, un pantacourt Versace !
Oh no, sorry, not finished yet! Bright and modern Toile below by Mat&Jewski, actually re-coloured from the original Louis XIV visiting the harbour of Cherbourg, which VDP had shown you on 31 March.
The fabrics are elegant and beautiful. I adore parasols, but both especially the one on top. What a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteQuite a flourish of colour, Ciel. That umbrella in the second shot appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteCould have used that umbrella this evening for a walk in the rain. Might have felt a little conspicuous under them, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteFab stuff Ciel, the umbrella looks amazing you would certainly stand out in the crowd :)
ReplyDeleteEverything is so pretty, but that umbrella is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI need an umbrella lined with feathers! I'd be hoping for rain all the time!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow chair.
ReplyDeleteThough I like the yellow chair and the Versace trousers, the umbrella is calling to me!!
ReplyDeleteThat umbrella is the most frilly thing I've ever seen. Quite a bit of craftsmanship went into the making of that. I'll have skip the pants. Versace or not, too many flowers on them for me.
ReplyDeleteThey all look amazing, but the first shot is something else!
ReplyDeleteJudging from your shots I'd love a day visiting there. And, that top umbrella is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlamourous!
ReplyDeletewow, that is one fancy umbrella! love that little table!
ReplyDeleteThat umbrella deserves its own paragraph of superlatives!
ReplyDeleteThat umbrella really caught my attention!
ReplyDeleteThose Versace pants are wild, but not my style.
ReplyDeleteSuperb Ciel, J'adore! I can so see Aimee promenading with one of the gorgeous umbrellas :)
ReplyDeleteVery fancy! Fit for royalty, that's for sure!
