Not so long ago, Halcyon took a photo at a Vivian Maier photography exhibition in Berlin. Well, since 3 April (and until 23 April), we have an exhibition in Versailles too, namely at the Fine Arts School (which you had seen here). It's small but brilliant and just like Halcyon, last Saturday VDP had an opportunity to shoot some reflections in the works of the great street photographer that was Vivian Maier. Please visit James to see all Weekend Reflections!
I, too ,marveled at this relatively unknown woman's talent. I also saw a documentary about the collection, how it was found and biographical information.
ReplyDeleteCreative reflections, and very strong work by Vivian Maier.
ReplyDeleteNicely done reflections with those great photos.
ReplyDeleteThe reflection in the second image is quite nice, VDP.
ReplyDeleteThe last few photographic exhibits I have visited didn't permit photography.:-(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful exhibit.
ReplyDeleteThese are very, very nice!
ReplyDeleteHer life and work is still a mystery . More than a 150.000 clichés were discovered. Incredible ! She died poor and unknown, but her photos will.remain. Great photographer.
ReplyDeleteI know you must have enjoyed it! I did too.
ReplyDeleteI found her life story so interesting. Maybe one day our work will be famous too. ;-)
Wonderful images of wonderfully nostalgic images!
ReplyDeleteHer work is great! Would love to attend the exhibit.
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to take shots of photographs in galleries but you took good advantage of the reflections.
Not a great fan of this kind of photography, but I like the reflections...
ReplyDeleteWonderful reflections on this exhibit. I do hope I get to see some of her work in person some day.
