First things first, once you have entered Toile de Jouy museum inside Sweetbriar castle (you can see the reception desk through the door) you have to look up! VDP loves that Toile de Jouy deer!
Après l'accueil (visible ici par la porte) au château de l'Eglantine, on passe sous une coupole ! VDP adore le cerf en toile de Jouy !
Fabulous place, love the first picture...
ReplyDeleteBetter and better! I'd not have expected such a colorful welcome.
ReplyDeleteHe is a lovely deer! Cool ceiling, Ciel!
ReplyDeletePeople still build themselves mansions to show off, but nobody would use a color scheme like this.
ReplyDeleteThat deer would be easily spotted in the forest.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I like that decorated deer too - original. :)
ReplyDeleteThe details of the ceiling and the colour combinations on the walls create an impressive room. There's always something new to discover in France. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dome and decor. Oh yes, and I like that deer too.
ReplyDeleteDeer are sweet, unless they are 'attacking' my garden. I could take this one however. Ha.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in that first photo are magical! Love it!

A pink deer? (or is that magenta)? Looking up is the way to go, that's amazing.
ReplyDeleteMore elegance! Stunning. Looks like that poor deer has measles, though!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about it Ciel, the colours, the delightful lightness of style, c'est tres charming.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place, love that deer! Is it a deer?
ReplyDeleteThe deer is dear!
ReplyDeleteThe deer looks very jolly!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours in there, Ciel, and that dome is amazing.
ReplyDeleteMagnifique coupole, et cerf pas à mon goût mais qui sied parfaitement à l'endroit je trouve
ReplyDeleteI love the arches and the colours used!
ReplyDeleteColorful and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteSuperbe le cerf! Il faudrait en "exporter" un au hameau de la Reine...
