Les iris et les œillets de la cour des senteurs
There was a riot of irises and carnations at the scents courtyard last weekend! Of course, both flowers are used in perfumery hence their presence here!
Bien sûr, ces deux fleurs sont utilisées en parfumerie, d'où leur présence ici.
So many people are posting photos of iris now, and while mine are up, they're nowhere near blooming. Soon, perhaps. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy these. Thanks! K
The purple irises are special. I love them, but have never had much success in growing irises, so I don't grown them any more.
I saw your question about capital and Capitol. A capital is the city that is the political headquarters of a state. A Capitol is the building in the capital that holds the legislature. Now that you and I know that, we are among 50 total.

The Iris is such a complex flower. I love them. I have a friend who has been posting photos of his Iris on Facebook almost every day.
