L'attente

Once you are at Notre-Dame market, you have to wait and be very patient. Some stalls have endless queues! How madam was going to get all those plastic bags (eek) onto her bicycle is beyond VDP!

Une fois au marché, il faut s'armer de patience car autour de certains stands se forment des queues impressionnantes ! VDP n'est pas restée pour voir comment madame allait s'en sortir avec sa foultidude de pochons en plastoc à mettre sur le vélo...

  1. I like all of the yellow, it just belongs at a market place. I used to go into the city to take photos at the market that had a yellow fabric roof but they replaced it with a blah color, yuk!

  2. It certainly looks like a vibrant market, and reminds me of one here.

  3. I do love markets like this and we do have some great ones in the northwest, but I don't like having to fight the crowds!!! Great shots as always, Ciel! Have a lovely weekend!!

  5. Our markets are still indoors for the winter. It will be interesting to see when it will be warm enough for the outdoor farmers markets to start up again. That lady's bags may pull the bike down!

  7. A great image. I love the colour and energy of markets, especially in France. If there is a crowd
i use my waiting time to observe other shoppers and take in the atmosphere. Cordialement.

  9. We quickly figured out that here the long lines indicated the best vendors. I think sometimes it's worth the wait and sometimes not. But what fun trying to sort them all out !

  11. Ha, it is so much calmer than any Israeli market.
BTW, your title, L'attente, was the name of my first cell [room] when I volunteered at the Swiss monastery.

  12. Queues at the stalls? That's why I prefer supermarkets: markets are wonderful to browse, but they are full of customers with a lot of time in their hands...

  14. Riding a bike with so many bags sounds like a possible disaster about to happen.

  22. She needs a basket for those bags!

It's refreshing to see outdoor activities after being cooped up for many weeks, thanks!
