Once you are at Notre-Dame market, you have to wait and be very patient. Some stalls have endless queues! How madam was going to get all those plastic bags (eek) onto her bicycle is beyond VDP!
Une fois au marché, il faut s'armer de patience car autour de certains stands se forment des queues impressionnantes ! VDP n'est pas restée pour voir comment madame allait s'en sortir avec sa foultidude de pochons en plastoc à mettre sur le vélo...
I like all of the yellow, it just belongs at a market place. I used to go into the city to take photos at the market that had a yellow fabric roof but they replaced it with a blah color, yuk!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like a vibrant market, and reminds me of one here.
ReplyDeleteI do love markets like this and we do have some great ones in the northwest, but I don't like having to fight the crowds!!! Great shots as always, Ciel! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a market like this in my town!
ReplyDeleteOur markets are still indoors for the winter. It will be interesting to see when it will be warm enough for the outdoor farmers markets to start up again. That lady's bags may pull the bike down!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good market with lots of goodies.
ReplyDeleteA great image. I love the colour and energy of markets, especially in France. If there is a crowd
ReplyDeletei use my waiting time to observe other shoppers and take in the atmosphere. Cordialement.
Estupendas las fotos que nos has dejado, un placer haberme pasado por tu espacio.
ReplyDeleteSaludos y buen fin de semana.
We quickly figured out that here the long lines indicated the best vendors. I think sometimes it's worth the wait and sometimes not. But what fun trying to sort them all out !
ReplyDeleteBusy, popular place... hope madam made it home safely ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa, it is so much calmer than any Israeli market.
ReplyDeleteBTW, your title, L'attente, was the name of my first cell [room] when I volunteered at the Swiss monastery.
Queues at the stalls? That's why I prefer supermarkets: markets are wonderful to browse, but they are full of customers with a lot of time in their hands...
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I hate supermarkets...
ReplyDeleteRiding a bike with so many bags sounds like a possible disaster about to happen.
ReplyDeleteI would have waited to see her riding the bike! LOL!
ReplyDeleteShe probably is well practices on juggling so many bags on her bike.
ReplyDeleteAs to your comment: I posted my blog at a little after 10PM. Where did you get 4? MB
When my mind is made, I'm not good with patience. Must learn.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful market! i hope she made it home without losing anything!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe she's one of those very optimistic types :)
ReplyDeletePatience is not my forte, but this is a nice place to look around...
ReplyDeleteI love the street markets no matter how long I have to wait.
ReplyDeleteV
She needs a basket for those bags!
ReplyDeleteIt's refreshing to see outdoor activities after being cooped up for many weeks, thanks!
Now you see she needed a Versailles shopping bag.. but she's not having mine :) Love the market scene Ciel.
