While we're at it, here's some more works in the palace gardens: the water theatre grove is getting a makeover, apparently it will have a modern twist to it! VDP will have to return in the summer! In the meantime, here's a video of what it will look like (French with English subtitles.)
Heureusement tu as ton imperméable
Et ça n'empêche pas la gadoue" Jane Birkin
That's quite a mess in there at the moment!
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of mud like we do. It will be wonderful by summer time.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a lot of mud!!! But I'm eager to see the results of the makeover!! Hope you have a great week, Ciel!!
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the film on the link I can hardly wait to see the finished grove, Ciel!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Cherubs but they are nice shots.
ReplyDeleteI trust that when you return all that mud will be gone.
ReplyDeleteA definite work in progress, but it won't be long before everything is complete!
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting video. I can see why the paysagiste was a bit intimidated to follow in the steps of Le Nôtre. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm sure you will keep us "posted" !
ReplyDeleteI think the contemporary sculptures will be very nice in there......
ReplyDeleteWork in progress.
It is worth waiting for!
Happy new week!

ReplyDeleteThe project sounds interesting, you will have to return when it's completed. For now, I love the reflections of the trees in the puddles!
ReplyDeleteI am noticing big puddles. Looks like you have had lots of rain. Looking forward to see the finished layout.
ReplyDeleteYou'd better go back in the summer to show us all the new beauties. MB
ReplyDeleteI imagine this place ready for Spring and plenty of beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteJust a little bit of patient now! :)
Léia
