Retour à la gypsothèque
Returning to the king's small stable which will again be exceptionally open on 2 March with some more of the Louvre museum's casts. Read about them here. There are monochrome basins on Artsy Versailles.

You're so lucky to get this kind of access. The sculptures and architecture are magnificent!
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou could get alot of great shots there. I love that first one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous place for these statues and sculptures. Makes for a great wander. Love the bottom left one, all those figures in a row...
ReplyDeleteSince I work with many people with spinal problems, I sometimes wonder how the idea of caryatids came to be. Ouch.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an interesting place. Wish I could visit myself, but I'm glad to get this tour! Love your first shot and the one with the line of statues.
ReplyDeleteThe Kings Small Stables are very photogenic!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous. Why are the small stables opened so infrequently ? I would love to see them and I don't think I can make it on 2 March.
ReplyDeletetu arrives à faire un auto portrait de dos
ReplyDeletetrop fort !
I agree with William. Can't imagine what it would be like to actually live where such things are readily available! They're all gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteRe your question about the palm tree: I do not know. My son-in-law told me that and I meant to ask him more but forgot.
Too bad about giving blood. I used to donate all the time but not since I've gotten so old. I figure I need all I've got just to get up in the morning! :)
oh these are just wonderful!

ReplyDeleteTreasures indeed Ciel.. wonderful to see them even if it is so rarely, most would never get to see them so it's always a thrill to see them here.
After this, I am really thinking to come back to Versailles...
ReplyDeleteThe 'exceptional' opens are the best, I can't wait to see what's available.
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures are great, I like also the top image!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous space and so wonderful to have access to it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like we are all feeling a tad jealous that we can't see these for ourselves. But, luckily we can see them through your lens.
