La salle des Hoquetons

This room at the palace has been preserved in its original 1672 state. 'Modest Venus', a.k.a. 'Medici Venus', by Balthazar Keller, stands in the middle of this room that once housed the palace police.

  9. Oh boy, this makes me want to return quickly and see more of the Palace. I feel that we missed a lot on the "tour."

I don't remember this room specifically but it is gorgeous! And the statue is beautifully done. How would the castle police get anything done in here?

Hope you're on the way to a beautiful weekend!

  13. I love the floor. You always find that kind of tile in "royal places". I may have to use it as inspiration when we build our kitchen and bath!
