Le bosquet de la colonnade.

This was the alien light in the colonnade grove (built by Jules Hardouin-Mansart from 1685) in the palace gardens during the musical night fountains show. I have NO clue how they do it but it was brilliant! The sculpture in the centre was executed by François Girardon and represents the abduction of Proserpina by Pluto.

  5. I can't imagine how they get this kind of light. But, it is pretty remarkable. It must have been fun to see in person.

  16. Spectacular and a bit scary: I tend to rely on chemistry and physics for explanations, but this is really fascinating in a supernatural way!
