Le Tour de France

Oooh I bet you're disappointed! You thought you'd see the cyclists on the last leg of le Tour de France, right? I'm so very sorry, but you see as temperatures are soaring in the heatwave, (32° C / 90° F in the bedroom) VDP is taking a break while the Tour de France comes to Versailles (when of course, traffic and parking are forbidden on Avenue de Paris! The sign warns that should you leave your vehicle parked, it will be towed away!) See you soon!

Ouh là, vous êtes déçus ? Vous pensiez voir des cyclistes lors de la dernière étape du Tour, c'est ça ? Ben désolée, mais canicule oblige, VDP prend des congés pendant quelques jours ! A très bientôt et restez au frais !

    Popping by quickly to say hello, but sorry to be missing you on your break! I am currently in Paris for a few days of hoped-for vacation, though it is turning into more of a working vacation. (I did not plan well, as usual). I thought it would be fun to at least drop you a little note to say bonjour :D ...and yes, the heat has been something else!
