Hôtel de police ou Du Barry

I have shown you this doorway before but I couldn't resist this golden shot with the tree and street lamp shadows... The history of this place, now the main police station, is interesting: you will find it here.

Je vous ai déjà montré ce portail mais je n'ai pas su résister à la lumière avec les ombres des arbres et du lampadaire... L'histoire des lieux, devenus commissariat central de police, est intéressant et se trouve par ici.

    We've had distinct lack of golden light here, so this is lovely to see! I adore the shadows and love that it was du Barry's home. Spring has teased us here with cruelly brief glimpses, only to give way to more snow and rain.

    Would be impossible to pass this gorgeous sight if you just happened to have a camera handy Ciel. France has very beautiful architecture to match it's colourful history.

    I have heard stories to the effect that if you start fooling around with a mistress, the police could get involved! And boy, did they ever! Threw out the woman and took over her home! Zounds! I wonder if Inspector Clouseau was involved? :)
