Le Musée Lambinet enneigé
This is Lambinet museum, which I showed you here (inside and out). It has undergone restoration work so I will need to go again! It's a nice example of a town house built in the days of Louis XV.
Je vous l'avais montré ici (intérieur et extérieur). Il a fait l'objet d'une rénovation, il faudra que j'y retourne ! C'est un bel exemple d'hôtel particulier construit sous Louis XV.
It is a handsome place with a fine, formal garden. Nice composition, Ciel.
The Capewell building is in a part of town that is not getting much development attention. It will be a long time before someone decides to make an investment in it.
Hi Ciel: Re your comment on Colorado...you'd probably be freezing to death in Gunnison right now--it gets very cold in them thar parts in the good ol' winter time!
Oh wow, when I think of townhouses, I think of the 1800s brownstone structures of NYC (like everyone else from the 'young' countries - we're such youths!:)
Thank you for visiting and leaving a thought! Sorry about the moderation, a bit tired of spam at the moment!
Merci de votre visite très appréciée et de laisser une pensée ! Désolée de devoir modérer vos commentaires, VDP en a un peu marre des spammeurs en ce moment !
rien a dire, la neige c'est fait pour les photographes. Superbe
ReplyDeleteLovely! I think the snow and the way you framed this shot adds significantly to its classic beauty!
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Lowell, and it is a classic beauty indeed! Hope your week is off to a good start! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteTo me it seems amazing that townhouses built in the days of Louis XV would still be liveable. Everything in Canada is so young compared to France.
ReplyDeleteYour blog says 59 degrees F and rain. We have 45 degrees and rain. Click your heels 3 times and turn around....
ReplyDeleteOops, that should be 50 degrees there. 59 would be our summer :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks cold. Love the architecture.

I continue to be amazed and delighted at the photos of Versailles in the snow.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful building with graceful proportions. The snow looks like powdered sugar.
ReplyDeleteI could live in that town home!
ReplyDeleteLove it under the snow. It's nice together a shot before its been disturbed.

ReplyDeleteDitto what EG said Ciel, so much history, for me here in young Oz its kind of awesome to think about.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition, a lovely building facade and I like the snow, a romantic image, with the bench as detail! :)

Avec la neige et l'architecture classique on est completement hors du temps!
ReplyDeleteYour snow looks cold. Well, dud! I guess it is. Pretty picture. Funny to think of townhouses back in old Louis' day. LOL MB
ReplyDeleteWhy are you too tired to dance hop skip and or jump? MB
