People buying trees pretty close to the holiday. My father used to take me out on the 23rd or even 24th, when my mother was freaking out that we didn't have a tree, to see the shadowy vendors clustered under the West Side Highway (it hadn't collapsed yet). He always came back with a gem.
wow, they are really going to haul that tree home on their bike? we strap them to the tops of our vehicles or in the bed of the pick-up! love the collage!
