This is the current nativity scene inside Notre-Dame de Versailles church. Of course, the Child Jesus hasn't arrived yet... To all of you who celebrate Christmas, I wish a very joyful and serene Christmas Eve!
Voici la crèche de l'église Notre-Dame de Versailles. Bien évidemment, l'enfant Jésus n'est pas encore arrivé. A tous ceux qui célèbrent Noël, je souhaite un joyeux et serein réveillon de Noël !
Well, then, Mary is very self-disciplined. The creche was a big deal in our home when I was a child: strips of thin wood, colored felt, plastic figurines, a single tree-ornament-size incandescent bulb. The materials weren't the important part.
ReplyDeleteWonderful manger scene.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scene indeed, awaiting the birth of the Child.
ReplyDeleteMany good wishes from western Canada to you, for Christmas and the coming year.

Bonnes fetes!
ReplyDeleteTient ca me fait penser que j'ai oublie de prendre en photo la creche de la Cathe....Je te souhaite un JOYEUX NOEL , plein de cadeaux et un bon repas de noel
ReplyDeleteI have a neighbor started her Christmas shopping today. Don't think she'll have a particularly serene holiday. Mais, je t'espere une bonne et calme fête de Noël.
ReplyDeleteHave a very lovely Christmas and a fabulous 2013 xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteAnd the myth lives on! :-) It is very pretty. I wonder if Mary and Joseph speak French?
ReplyDeleteI know sheep go "Baaaa." Maybe that's where "Bah humbug" came from - frustrated sheep who have to stand in the same place for hours at nativity scenes the world over?
Just kidding.
Merry Xmas Eve!
Joyeux Noël, Ciel!
ReplyDeleteA lovely nativity scene!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty with the gold stars. It won't be long now ... Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteSweet nativity scene but I am headed for the chocolate shop.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you. MB
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHugs Andrew xx
It never occurred to me that Jesus would not be in the scene before Christmas. In every creche I've ever seen, he is already there. Interesting. Joyeaux Noel to you!
