  5. Silly girl. The left door is 42, the right door is 26. Interesting house, neat gate!

  6. Do your building numbers only reach two digits? My house number is 1101. Our old home was 5629. The building I grew up in was 4109. Must be American expansionism.

  7. Haha, my first thought was, perhaps it's 4226 :)...so I agree with Bob above, must be that American expansionism. Either way, lovely capture!

(I think my mystery tree is a hybrid variety of horse chestnut and buckeye tree called "Fort McNair red horse-chestnut" - it took a few more google tries to find out :)

  9. I'm not sure there is a single street in France that reaches 4 digits. For instance, the longest street in Paris is said to be rue de Vaugirard, with number 407 at the end... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rue_de_Vaugirard

  11. Very interesting entrance...but what is that thing with the numbers - some kind of shed? The number is obviously 4226. Sheesh!

Re your comment on SC: the point is to hit the little ball into the little hole with just one putt. I'm off to try that again this morning but it is the impossible dream for some of us!

  13. We barely get to three digit on a few streets here and a number like this would be very strange. Very nice picture, by the way!|

  21. I guess I would have been lost here.... :)
Looks nice, so perhaps I would have tried to find someone who could speak english...... and guide me to the right house or flat.
