I like these shadows on Avenue de Saint-Cloud. This is where normally the flower market is held. Not so in August. Only one stall is open, at the far end...
J'aime ces ombres Avenue de Saint-Cloud. Normalement, le marché aux fleurs se prolonge jusqu'ici. Août oblige, seule un marchand est présent, tout au bout...

I love the shadows and I bet the flower market enjoys the extra business -- being the only stall open! Beautiful capture, Ciel! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love this play on light, I can almost see the shadows moving! I agree with Sylvia above, must be nice to have a market monopoly :)
ReplyDeleteI was looking at similar dappled shadows today and thinking about taking a picture. Now that I see yours, I see that I should have.
ReplyDeleteMe cook for the bloggers? Sure. Corn is easy.
I love tree shadows.
ReplyDeleteI know that the August holiday is a tradition in much of Europe but there are still things I don't understand. Years ago we were in Milan with the children in August. The tourist office gave us a list or restaurants open during the month and, of course, everyone we checked was closed. We ended up eating in the cafeteria in the department store at the Galleria.
ReplyDeleteSomebody has to stay home. Surely, many people can't afford inflated August prices. Where do they eat, where do they shop for basic needs? The month sounds like a scaled-down Ramadan.
The shadows create a pattern of elusive geometrical shapes.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo to depict the depth and dimension of the space intertwined by light.
ça va?.. tu as survécu à la journée d'hier, chaleur et cérémonie?..
ReplyDeleteEsperons que le WE t'apporte plus d'ombre reconfortante que de soleil brulant. Biz
Nice to have something to make such nice shadows. Here we have much too little shade in summer.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes went right to these foreground shadows too. I like this.
ReplyDeletewe will seek out that market when we're there next month.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a difference a month makes! I bet that last stand is getting extra business though. ;) And your shadows are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI like your shadows, but usually in August I like any shadow!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet it is a wonderful place to park oneself to avoid the heat. I wonder if that one flower stall makes a lot of money in August...
ReplyDeleteYes, nice shadows. They look lonely. I think I'd have a lot of fun with a camera in a flower market!
ReplyDeleteCool shadows!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Still smiling at Bob's comment regarding the Ramadan! :-)
Love this one Ciel, I can just imagine when this Avenue is lined all the way up with flower stands, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful for a walk! Arianna
ReplyDeleteNice flower stands in August, that would be a dream here!
