Interesting that the lamp is lit! The shades are quite lovely also. I wonder about you standing there to photograph all this...the shopowners should give you a special discount...
Just yesterday there was a TV program about antique shops, showing that a few smart guys do their shopping in the Belgian vide-greniers and resell in Paris with a fair profit... :) God bless you! Cezar
Antique stores used to be fun 'cause once in awhile you could pick up a treasure that others had overlooked ... no more. The people that run these places know EVERYTHING about antiques! And the stuff they sell is usually very expensive. Still I love some things - the smell and feel of solid old wood, for example. Don't find much of that anymore.
J'aimerais bien faire les antiquiares un jour avec toi ! J'ai l'impression que tu les connais bien. Celle-ci est tres sympa. J'aimerais bien avoir une lampadaire comme ca. :)

Battling antique stores! I like Grace's post yesterday and yours today. I don't have any recent photos from antique stores, so I can't join the fray.
ReplyDeleteEine Oase.
ReplyDeleteDas Wochenende gut dir.
Love the view from inside a shop! The couches look fabulous :D
ReplyDeleteOh la la! Very classy Ciel .... I love the pretty chair in that gorgeous tangerine colour.
ReplyDeleteIt is so small. I suppose the building itself may be an antique.
ReplyDeleteDid you find any treasures?
ReplyDeleteThe lamp is like a tripod !
ReplyDeleteLes antiquaires intimidate me. I love looking in the windows but rarely enter the shop. Brocantes are more my thing. Are there any in Versailles?

ReplyDeleteA lovely serene image complimented by the music which accompanies your blog. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCe qu'il propose n'est pas vraiment antique.
ReplyDelete@ Randy: I didn't, but my Mum did!
ReplyDeletelà, on est chez un antiquaire, Grace etait plutot dans une brocante, ce me semble..Pas les mêmes rillettes! :o)
ReplyDelete@ Malyss : me parle pas de rillettes, ça me donne envie d'en manger...

ReplyDeleteSo, where are you to see such a sunset?
Where ever we travel, we bring back new things that add so much to our world.
ReplyDeletea very fine reply indeed.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the place has been dusted recently. Are you sure this is an antiques shop? :))
ReplyDeleteI love the rich (and presumably expensive) wood tones.
ReplyDeleteThe chairs look quite comfy, I can imagine relaxing in one with a good book.
Elegant, cozy and sweet!
