Belle bête

Is this a Porsche? Caught on Avenue de Paris on 5 February (in front of this week's doorway behind the bus stop!)

What ever wonderful car it is, I'd want to be very warmly dressed and have an excellent heater!

  3. It looks like a very old one, which means it's probably worth a ton of money. And a convertible to boot!

  4. Yes it is! A C Convertible, I think. My sister's then-boyfriend had one in the early 70s. Well, actually a C Coupe hardtop. His was beat up but it ran well. I was impressed.

My first car was a Triumph TR4 (also beat up). What a delightful piece of junk.

  12. It is indeed. You can tell by the logo on the front. I think it's a late 50s or early 60s model. They were in great demand back then and very expensive! Our daughter's father-in-law had one that he loved.

  17. Beautiful, although far too smooth a car to be called a beast.

  18. I am not a car guy, but it looks like a Porsche to me. You can give it to someone else. I can't fit in the things.

  20. I would love to drive around the countryside of France during the summer in a car like this..
I did it in 1980 in a Ford Escort.. Calais to Perpignan..
    Wondeful memories.

  24. Bonjour,

Hi, this is a car made by PGO, a french manufacturer specialized in replicas. This car is a modern one but is inspired by the Porsche Speedster. James Dean crashed while driving a porsche 550 Spyder.
