Geraniums in full bloom. The star on the door tells you this was around Christmas. Talk about global warming, it is way too warm. Seen in Saint-Louis neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty to see so many geraniums at this time of year..Like the doorway also.
ReplyDeleteSchön !
ReplyDeleteMit ca. 8C eher kalt hier. Einen guten Mittwoch dir.
Wow that is warm. Sure wish I could have my geraniums outside inside of hibernating in my basement.
ReplyDeleteWish the plants on my patio were that green, with colorful blooms! I thought it had finally turned cold here but no, it was 81 degrees today!
ReplyDeleteOne would think this photo was taken in mid-summer. You don't normally have blooming geraniums in December, right?
ReplyDeleteI like the door a lot along with the window ... Very "homey."
Without the snow flake, I'd have never guessed Winter! I like the color of the wood, it contrasts nicely with the ironwork.
ReplyDeleteThe unusual warmth seems to be affecting lots of the Northern Hemisphere this winter but not all of it. There are a few places whose climate is pleasant all year. Victoria, BC, has an annual contest for the home that has the most roses blooming on Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteI love geraniums. I can't believe it's so warm there.
ReplyDeleteWht do i feel that te door is a little bit short on the width !
ReplyDeleteMight as well enjoy the geraniums as long as you can, Ciel! It will eventually get cold, and you won't like that.
ReplyDelete@ Wong: yes! Funny you noticed!
ReplyDelete@ Jack: I would love some real cold.
La porte est étroite, c'est peut-être l'entrée du paradis.
ReplyDeleteI was sure it was in summer! Lol, such a weather is a bit bizarre at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day:)
Yes, you will not believe how warm it has been here this winter... we have spring flowers blooming in our yard. It is crazy! What is going on??? I like the skinny door for doorway Wednesday, it has charm.
ReplyDeleteWarm now? I remember last July: it was cold!
ReplyDeleteMais,tu es vraiment doué?Et près de la porte il y a de belles fleurs!
ReplyDeleteCela est pleine de charme, j'adore!
bisous
Léia
"douée"
ReplyDeleteGosh that is unusual Ciel, I know my geraniums grow much better when it's really hot! What do you call 'too warm'? Lovely picture, I like the shoes taken off at the front door.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like the airport is close to the city Ciel, but I think it's a bit of an optical illusion here, the distance is much further than it seems. We do have a lot of serious fires here in summer, the heat and the wind are too extreme sometimes, unfortunately a very high percentage are actually deliberately lit. I heard that this year the authorities are going to be keeping a very close eye on known arsonists, hopefully that will help, some of the fires we had last summer were disastrous.
"Wabbit" food for French women? You're so funny. Do French women eat wabbit food in order to keep their slim figures?
ReplyDeleteWish it would warm its way here! Beautiful plants!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasing doorway!
ReplyDeleteOn est tous des frustrés de l'hiver, j'ai l'impression.. Tres accueillante, cette maison!
ReplyDeletet'inquiète pas le gel arrive samedi
ReplyDeleterentre tes géraniums
wonderful image, i love the door and the snowflake looking detail. global warming or airstreams in different places, moving the storms to new places. i have not been able to xc ski this year! just a couple inches of snow in my woods. xo
ReplyDeleteIs that a snowflake? We're getting a couple zillion more tonight.
ReplyDeleteBefore reading your commentary I saw the picture and thought, "Wow, that looks like spring!" It's been warmer than usual over here, too. Light jackets at Christmas. Weird. Looking forward to more green shots like this as we move closer to March and April!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty little door, it seems kind of narrow; always make me think of how hard it would be to move furniture in and out. We are having a warm winter too.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty to see geraniums so late in the year but global warming is very scary!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Not the season for geraniums!
