CDP January Theme Day: Photo of the year 2011


I hesitated and went for orange! Two shots of 2011 that I particularly like, above the statue of Louis the 14th against a sky ablaze and below, sunset reflections on the pavement of Notre-Dame market place after a thunderstorm. J'ai hésité et opté pour de l'orange ! Deux de mes photos préférées de 2011, en haut le coucher de soleil sur la statue équestre de Louis XIV et dessous, le reflet du soleil sur la place du marché Notre-Dame après l'orage. BONNE ANNEE à tous et toutes !

    Excellent choices. If I had to pick, I'd give a slight edge to Louis, I really like the curly light pole in the foreground. HNY!

    You had so many fantastic images to choose from Ciel it must have been hard. I love them both but the colour and luminous light in the second image are my favorite. Hope you had a brilliant New Year, and woke up feeling better than I haha!

    Yes! I'm loving the orange...both are great choices. Love the glow. Ive been away for awhile but hope to get back soon. Just wanted to drop by and wish you a very happy new year! Bonne annee! (my high school French is a bit rusty, but I'm practicing!)

    My fave is #1...the silhouette against the orange sky is superb!

    Orange is a good color for you! These are two wonderful photos. The sky in the top photo is just amazing and that little touch of France at the bottom of the photo makes it perfect. Have a very happy new year.
