Zounds! Such lights are quite appropriate for a rue named Royale! These are no doubt some of the most elegant Christmas lights I've seen on a public street.
It looks like you took this picture on a damp night...perhaps a little snow was falling?
I'll bet this looks wonderful in person, with the alternating gold and blue lights. It is hard taking good pictures of effects like this . . . you succeeded nicely. We saw some wonderful lighted streets in Amsterdam and I took repeated pictures, but none conveyed how great they looked in person.

ReplyDeleteThis St. Louis doesn't have anything that pretty. It looks like one of those modern, elegant suspension bridges with a single tower in the middle.
