What a cute little car. I had never heard of it, either, so I looked it up on Google. I'm always learning new things this way. Someone mentions it on a blog, and I'm very curious, so I have to check it out. It was very interesting to find out about this little Dutch car.

I don't think I've ever seen one of these before. I really enjoy unusual cars and this fits the bill, thanks for sharing. It's in really good shape, obviously well cared for.
Like the others I hadn't heard of it either. It reminds me of the Fiat 500. Or one of those early 60s Renault. The leaf on the hood is perfectly placed.
"I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze." William Wordsworth.
Hahaha... it's almost inconceivable that people don't know this cutie. I grew up with the Daf, of course, although our family never had one. Haven't seen one in a while either, but in Bucharest I saw a few vintage Ford Anglias.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first I've ever heard of DAF cars and trucks.
ReplyDeleteCute little car for cute little people : )
ReplyDeleteOh, I have seen these once in a while on the streets of KL ...
ReplyDeleteWell, Ciel, you are way ahead of me. Not only have I not seen a DAF car, I have never heard of them!

ReplyDeleteYes, I dimly remember these. I wondered why they didn't spell it DAFT.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of it but I would sure love one in red!

ReplyDeleteI think Daf was bought by Volvo. They were automatic with an unusual gaerbox.
ReplyDeleteun collector bien conservé

ReplyDeleteIt is adorable! Perfect for finding parking places in small spots.
ReplyDeleteLike those above, I had never heard of DAF. Maybe that is part of why their a not many of their vehicles around.
ReplyDeleteI have to confess that I've probably never seen them before:)
ReplyDeleteLove the light in your photo!
Thanks for the link, Ciel! I had not heard of DAF trucks or cars. This looks much like a Renault or Opel from the 50s.
ReplyDeleteEtant nulle en connaissance cote voitures c'est une premiere pour moi...
ReplyDeleteNow that's a very cute little 'retro' car Ciel, well done to spot such a rare find!
ReplyDeleteCooool! :-)
ReplyDeleteça ne nous rajeunit pas! j'aimais bien les voitures a cette epoque, elles avaient toutes une personnalité différente..
ReplyDeleteThere was a time, about thirty years ago, that these cars weren't unusual here.
ReplyDeleteJe me demande si je n’ai jamais vu une de-celles-la. Elle me rappel d’un Trabi ! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool car! I would love to have one, it would be perfect for our narrow roads.
