Since we'll drop the car in Avignon and, if we come out to Versailles, take the RER, we won't be needing a place to park. Still. it's good to remember such things.
Lovely photos...and it looks so familiar. In Micanopy, Florida there is a building that used to be a garage, also...with the word, "Garage" across the top. It's not nearly as nice/fancy as this building, though. Now it's an antique shop.
And yes, "barrenness" is a word and properly descriptive of this place which is quite remote and the area is quite barren!

ReplyDeleteEine gute neue Woche dir.
Wonderful facade. Green bricks??very unusual. I thoroughly enjoy the lettering.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Ciel. The detailing on a simple structure like a garage pays dividends.
ReplyDeleteUne belle reconversion mais ou faut-il aller faire reparer son auto maintenant??

ReplyDeleteWhat a great old garage. The colors in the glass are great.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in this Ciel, and how fantastic that this building is being used in such a positive way!
ReplyDeleteIl fait tres années 30..même les garages etaient jolis à l'epoque!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful restoration! Love that iron on the windows and the colorful glass work.
ReplyDeleteI could use a tune-up' in that classic garage.

It's always interesting to observe how old premises can be recycled... Here garages are more precious and money making than fitness centers!
ReplyDeleteeven your garages are pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I especially like the details in the window shot. Any idea if there's something missing in the central 'medallion'?
ReplyDeleteA beautiful garage. Love the details.
ReplyDeleteBelle reconversion !
ReplyDelete@ JM: no clue...
ReplyDeleteA wonderful building... lovely to see it still in use without destroying all it's past.
ReplyDeleteI have similar in my little town.
I bet there's plenty of room inside to get fit. :) The wrought iron is very attractive.
ReplyDeleteLove these!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous...love the color blocking!
