The storm must have cleared out the people in time for your photograph! Both of the photos give a sense of serenity or calmness. Perhaps the calm after the storm. I like the contrast between the sky and the reflections on the pavement -- especially in the first shot...a weird sky...
You think E.G.'s funny, heh? I do, too. She's a real Canadian comic! :-) But I did think the pink glasses were a nice touch!
