"Duck landing"? This is a phrase with which I'm not familiar...I assume it has reference to the area behind the wee fence...
And I can see the wire to pull the shutters shut on the poor little ducks stuck on the landing. Sheesh!
And I thought that was a reflection in the window but upon further investigation it appears to be some kind of painted shade...am I correct or can I not see, either?
This is a very strange window to say the least...is it a reflection behind a duck landing? or what? It is amazing that you would be able to capture a duck in this manner so I am wondering...

ReplyDeleteBien pris avec l'éclairage adéquate!
ReplyDeleteI love doors and windows. I am curious about what a duck landing is. Do ducks actually land on that bar or is that just an expression?

That is so beautiful and I love the reflection.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful curtain and a layered image to engage us. Thank you, Ciel.
ReplyDeleteYour picture has a lot of things to see in just one window.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful window Ciel, the image above the flower pots..perfect! What would you bring home from the sweet shop?
ReplyDeleteThat's an elaborate etching in the glass. There are subtle details in the shutters that interest my eye as well.
ReplyDeleteStill spring there? We are envious.
ReplyDeleteVery subtle and decorative!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

Two ducks even. So pretty.

ReplyDeleteMany nice details in this picture...
ReplyDeleteOK I get it now. I didn't see the etched window until I looked at the larger view.
ReplyDeleteTook me a second or two to find the duck! Such a surprise.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture Ciel, this window has a lovely decoration!

When I enlarged the photo, it appeared to me that the duck might have been the pattern of a lace curtain inside the window.
ReplyDeleteAh, c'est mignon! On s'attend a un gros splash sur un etang et on se retrouve avec une jolie fenetre toute romantique!
ReplyDelete@ Dave & Brattcat in particular and @ all: it is, of course, a curtain.
ReplyDelete@ Bob: technically it's still spring. Feels like the end of winter though.
This photo looks like the opening of a movie scene. What will happen behind the curtain? on the terrace?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Absolutely beautiful! I love the etched glass plus the reflection. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteAh... a curtain! What a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteAllerliebst :) mir gefallen auch die Fensterläden mit den praktischen Stricken zum zu ziehen echt gut !!!
ReplyDeleteViele Grüße

ReplyDeleteOh I see the duck! Is that design etched into the glass?
