So... I have come back from the Pacific Northwest where I met and spent a wonderful day with MB of Small City Scenes in Stanwood though we did not go inside the saloon! I also had a bite to eat with Becky of Walla Walla Valley Daily Photo whilst in Walla Walla. The pâtisserie on South Colville St. is quite as excellent as she had told me. I was also to meet Meri in Tacoma, but finally and unfortunately couldn't make time for it.
Aha! "Trading Places"! I certainly know where Walla Walla and Tacoma are. Washington State lies just south of my home province, British Columbia. Stanwood is just a day-trip from my home town of White Rock, BC.
ReplyDeleteSo there I was in France while you were in the Pacific Northwest. Well, let me tell you all about Paris...
LOL
I love the photo from the Stanwood Hotel & Saloon. The Wild Wild West was really not too long ago.

Methinks you had waaaaaay too much fun! I hope you were able to set MB straight as to using a tripod for moon shots. She won't listen to me!
ReplyDeleteOh, what's a Guinness? Just kidding!
You were just a few hours south of my home on Vancouver Island. I hope it wasn't too cold and rainy in our wet Pacific Northwest for you. I hear that France is enjoying unseasonably warm and sunny days!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and nice life feels at these places.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Thursday.
That sounds like fun meeting your blogosphere friends in person. Hope you had a terrific vacation.
ReplyDeleteI'd say you had s great time. I like the old-fashion sign.
ReplyDeleteIt means "busy, busy" that's what counts!
ReplyDeleteIt seems we have some culture even in the high desert. Looking forward to my own blogger meet-ups later this summer.
ReplyDeleteSaw Becky's photo but she forgot to include that truck. Very interesting, not sure I would drive it. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
ReplyDeleteBut the question is, did it compare to French patisseries?! It looks pretty good...
ReplyDeleteFun fotos, Ciel. glad you got to meet up with Becky. MB
ReplyDeleteDid you wear your cowboy boots? Love the tomato truck.
ReplyDelete@ Randy: it is actually my photo.

Ah, so you were in the PNW... nice. Was the weather kind to you? And it's always fun to hear about blogger meets. I'm guessing I'm a few decades older than you; the jet-lag didn't start getting to me until about five years ago, and before then I was boarding over 50 planes a year! I find one thing that helps is stay up the night before a morning departure and drink a ton of water on the flight. :-D
ReplyDeleteChouette! j'aime bien quan tu nous emmenes voyager, surtout dans ce genre de coin!
ReplyDeleteTu vas mieux?..
Lovely post, nice meetings!
ReplyDeleteLong way from home, hope you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to meet up with so many bloggers. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this cute sign. Next time, you'll have to take a peek inside.
Cool, you post American pictures today and I post European pictures. I'm still jet lagged too and got into work too early today :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and how lucky for all of you! What an amazingly small world we really live in. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I stole Ciel's photo (okay, no, she sent it to me, but I terribly did not remember to give her credit for the picture), and it was a lot of fun to see her again.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the tomato truck is that belonging to the owner of the shop next door to the Patisserie: The Garden. It's a vegan restaurant that makes DELICIOUS food; Perhaps Ciel and I can try THAT next time she's here!
Clueless and I were traveling in France while you were traveling in the US... Isn't it great to meet people that you already know from blogging! Glad to see that you found a pâtisserie!
ReplyDeleteBises,
G
Well, I missed Kay saying that she was in France, too! We should have gotten together!
ReplyDeleteG
If your time in the US was even half as wonderful as my time in France then you are still walking on air. How funny that we crossed the ocean in opposite directions as we journeyed to each other's countries. I would have been quite sad if you'd come to New England whilst I was in Menton. I'm glad you explored the Pacific Northwest instead.
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice to meet some blogging friends. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteA saloon! Now you're talkin'. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a good visit. You guys are going giddy with all of the meet-ups! Hartford is a nice place to visit . . .
ReplyDeleteWhat a great hotel sign!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful trip! It's always fun to meet up with people! ;D
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better! Jet lag can really take its toll. I am so glad you had the opportunity to travel to the PNW. It's one of my favorite places. Both my cousins went to the university in Walla Walla, and they now live in Seattle. I hope to move there one day. Feel better =)
