Wednesday Doorway: garage

A garage door near Récollets garden. Today on Artsy Versailles: tables, chairs and the promise of a baguette sandwich.

  3. Intriguing...looks like the house and the garage could use a little work. Does it have a garage door opener?

I really like the photo; funky and artsy!

  4. I like the rough textures, broken-up planes and subtle color. Going cubist?

  5. Ciel, I regret to inform you that today someone posted a photo on VDP of a beaten up garage door and wall that we KNOW could not be from Versailles. I understand that Versailles has an ordinance requiring that garage doors be either polished brass or gold-plated.

  7. Oooh, I like this!

    Yes, I was "painting" with the light from the moon. It's common to use another light source such as small torch light and move that, but I thought I'd try the moon and move the camera (needless to say I got quite dizzy after numerous attempts, that's why I had the somewhat mutilated looking heart shape I ended up with) :}

  12. This looks more Livorno than Versailles...

Industrial settings are among my favorites and this is great! The bright, new sign pops against the background. I like this a bunch!!

  20. I don't know why but that garage door reminded me of my own country.

  21. Ooh, I like this shot. Reminds me of one I recently posted of some doors at the bottom of a grain elevator. Less colourful than this, however...

  23. VP is right! :- [That contraption in my last post is a radio/TV antennae on a rooftop. Also, I'm informed that Romania has Euro 19 billion of EU funds available that they have NOT yet tapped into, but I don't grasp why not.]
