The carts are a great idea. That's funny, I'm working on a series of photos on "feet", you kind of did the same here!

They are not so common here, not yet, but I remember I saw quite a range of them in the south of France.

Ces caddies peuvent nous paraitre ordinaire en tant que francais mais ils n'existent pas partout et sont exotiques pour beaucoup. Un bon collage.

My family used a simple one of these when I was going up in Queens and my mother walked to food stores. I don't think I've ever seen one out here in automobile land.
ReplyDeleteThe woman at the top right has BIG shopping plans! Individualized shopping carts like these are almost non-existent here.

ReplyDeleteAh...oldies with shopping trolleys, they trip you up, run over your toes...but they are great for shopping. I like the new blog too, especially the font.
ReplyDelete@ Gunn: young, old, very young, everyone uses them. I saw a little girl yesterday with pink wellies and a pink cart. I had my hands full though and it was raining pots and buckets so I didn't bother to scramble for the camera.

@ all: when you live in town, thankfully you don't need your car here. It was sorry not to have caught one with leeks peeking out. That's a pretty common sight!
We don't use a cart like this in Manila, because we have "bag boys" who bring our groceries to our car (spoiled, how well I know it!)... but when in China, we do use a cart, as we don't have a car there and must cart our stuff quite a ways to our apartment. I like series like this.
