I have already shown you train stations and trains (search for the labels at the bottom of the sidebar). So for this month's Theme Day, here are Versailles' community of cities buses. A very good service I might add by Phébus company, naturally with a sun to remember the Sun King. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Je vous ai déjà montré trains et gares, aussi pour ce thème de novembre, voici les bus de la communauté de communes. Evidemment, ils sont ornés d'une référence au Roi Soleil.
Wow, November already! Hop on the bus before the rain arrives!
ReplyDeleteThe sky in the top photo is very dramatic. Perhaps similar to the sky over Quimper.
ReplyDeleteYou've got that same sky going again. That name for the bus service is clever if you know your classics.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky. I have taken the train from Paris to Versailles several times.
ReplyDeleteWe Americans are envious of the excellent public transportation that exits in Europe. Actually, I should change that. Americans who have been to Europe are envious of your public transportation. Americans who oppose public spending and public services oppose any public policy that sounds European, usually because they have never travelled outside the USA.
Sorry to vent. The election in the USA is the day after tomorrow, and it has me in a political mood.
Can understand Dave's need to vent. I did not take the bus in Versailles but travelled by train instead.
ReplyDeleteNice bus but it is the sky I am looking at. Ominous. MB
ReplyDeletethese shots are wonderfully clear, colorful and dramatic.
ReplyDeleteNovember sky... End of autumn... (sigh)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
par contre le ciel semble avoir oublié la référence au roi soleil
ReplyDeletebon week end
Un joli ciel charge sur la 1ere et un beau cadrage sur la 3eme. Tres belle lumiere sur les photos du 30 oct.
ReplyDeleteBonne semaine !
It's too easy for us to envy others' public transportation... I see the sun is on the buses, but not really where it belongs. Not that here the weather is or was better recently.
ReplyDeleteNice tie-in. Sun, bus, city, king.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition in the first photo! Love how the bus is sunny despite the dark clouds ;-D
ReplyDeleteHappy Theme Day!
you've made a beautiful image out of bus and sky.
ReplyDeleteSame dark skies - was it the same day? xxxx
ReplyDeleteThis must be the only thing Louis didn't inspire in your area.
ReplyDelete@ Diane: yes same day, same place!
ReplyDeleteOne might not think a metro bus and a dark brooding sky would make such a striking photo, but you did it, Ciel. Nice choice for the theme!
ReplyDeleteGreat Theme Day post. Mine is up at Portland Oregon Daily Photo; it’s a photo that I took on the MAX Light Rail last Saturday.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really like is that ominous sky!
ReplyDeleteLove that first shot and that moody sky!
ReplyDeletenaoned c'est celui et le suel qui va dans la capitale
ReplyDeleteRennes
voila les nouveaux carrosses du roi ;))
ReplyDeleteIt's refreshing to hear the system works well. :)
ReplyDeleteThat bus looks a whole lot more modern than what we see in Manila, and yet it's still better than none. Like others, I'm drawn to you sky, Ciel... looks a bit like the one over my colorful benches. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHere comes the Sun King!
ReplyDeleteWow you got some great skys lately!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, brooding sky in the first. Again, you have captured a luminosity in the cloud that I really like.
