Take your pick! What's on in Versailles as seen on a billboard last week. Billboards like this one are scattered around many French cities in an attempt to avoid what we call 'savage billposting'.

ReplyDeleteThat is very un-savage looking actually quite civilized. Our over here are generally quite chaotic with everyone jockying for space
ReplyDeleteI first saw this type of advertising in Paris and liked it very much..."savage billposting" is all the rage in the States.
ReplyDeleteAre you saying all of this is going on in Versailles at the same time? That's amazing!
A lot going on! You don't see so much of this in the US any more, except maybe on college campuses. Everybody learns of events on Facebook or Twitter (I minimally use the former but want nothing to do with the latter) and gets the details on some web site.
ReplyDeleteDoes it mean anything that my identification word is "mosad," the Israeli intelligence service?
Like LD said here we do it chaotic. This is actually quite nice.
ReplyDeleteIt's so very tidy. The notices don't seem to be jockeying with each other for our attention the way such notice boards do here in the States.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! It makes for a colorful geometric image - very nice!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea. I have seen similar ones here in the small artsy tourist towns. MB
ReplyDeleteSo orderly and easy to read, not savage at all.
ReplyDeleteYou give me an idea for a post.
ReplyDeleteThe results are quite nice as a mix of colors and you have a few things going on!

Everything is so neat and orderly! Superb collection of colors, I think this is really interesting.
This looks so tidy! Here people tend to put their notices on top of others, which I think is very rude.
ReplyDeleteSmart city! I think I'd want to peak into Aikido...I think that was japanese :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope the idea spreads.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. We have one downtown but in the neighborhoods, folks just staple them to telephone poles.
ReplyDeleteSorry about not having my town photos posted - rained all weekend and will rain all week if the forecast is to be believed. I won't be able to get any shots till the weekend.

I love this blog. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThe Septic Tank Man
It's quite colorful at least!
ReplyDeleteA work of art in itself. And so much going on. A great idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a good idea too. Here people stick their posters all over the place.
ReplyDeleteso many wonderful choices~
ReplyDeleteIt seems very organized to me, as well as colorful. Personally, I like well done posters. The best of them are an art form. I have some from the 1920s that I really enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh ! Les copieurs ! Les mêmes films qu'à Paris.
ReplyDeleteIt's not only a sane idea, it looks GOOD! A perfect mosaic.
