I like the doors, but one is missing it's knocker. I too the day off and visited areas where I grew up and I saw some doors that you would love. I think the chronology is interesting.
I like the twin doors. About the chronology, which I find absolutely useful, you may use the feature 'Edit Pages' for a stand-alone page. Try my index page if you look for an example...
