After the inevitable hat for the wedding (see yesterday's post and Saturday's wedding, which, incidentally, I did not attend), you need lots of flowers too. These delphiniums are amongst my favourite flowers, here they are at the flower market, ready to be planted. ---------------------------

ReplyDeleteOh, and yes it's way too hot to be wearing layers. My impression is that the man in my post is homeless. They seem to typically wear more clothes.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful flowers, but am not envying your weather. July 5at the Holiday Inn Express was sunny, but so cold I kept closing the window and we didn't have breakfast outside on that lovely patio.

Re your comment on The Villages: At Cody's Roadhouse they bring you a big bucket of peanuts - salted in the shell. While waiting for you food, you can have a drink and eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor! Messy but lots of fun!

ReplyDeleteI wonder what'd be the best season for selling flowers. In spring and summer there's so much 'competition' from nature around us. (Unless of course one lives in the midst of a city among concrete and asphalt.)

ReplyDeleteI like these spikey flowers. They appear to delphiniums and snapdragons and the lower ones look like impatiens. How interesting that the same plants are grown in Paris and Versailles gardens as grow in East Gwillimbury!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. So stately. The only thing growing in my garden right now are the weeds. While everything else wilts from the heat and humidity, they seem to thrive.
