Après les chapeaux, les fleurs

After the inevitable hat for the wedding (see yesterday's post and Saturday's wedding, which, incidentally, I did not attend), you need lots of flowers too. These delphiniums are amongst my favourite flowers, here they are at the flower market, ready to be planted.

Evidemment, pour un mariage, il faut des chapeaux (voir hier) mais aussi des fleurs. J'ai toujours adoré les delphiniums que voici prêts à être plantés au marché aux fleurs.

  1. Oooh, a flower market! Your latest posts are all merging into a theme. Do I see a series here?!

  2. Oh, and yes it's way too hot to be wearing layers. My impression is that the man in my post is homeless. They seem to typically wear more clothes.

  3. I love your beautiful flowers, but am not envying your weather. July 5at the Holiday Inn Express was sunny, but so cold I kept closing the window and we didn't have breakfast outside on that lovely patio.

  4. They're all very beautiful! You weren't at the wedding? So, who took the photo? I would have sworn that was you in the blue hat!

If you were to go to a wedding, would you wear a hat?

Re your comment on Cedar Key: Cheep!

  5. Re your comment on The Villages: At Cody's Roadhouse they bring you a big bucket of peanuts - salted in the shell. While waiting for you food, you can have a drink and eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor! Messy but lots of fun!

  9. I wonder what'd be the best season for selling flowers. In spring and summer there's so much 'competition' from nature around us. (Unless of course one lives in the midst of a city among concrete and asphalt.)

I wouldn't know a delphinium from something else but they sure look lovely. Well snapped.

  12. I like these spikey flowers. They appear to delphiniums and snapdragons and the lower ones look like impatiens. How interesting that the same plants are grown in Paris and Versailles gardens as grow in East Gwillimbury!

  13. Beautiful flowers. So stately. The only thing growing in my garden right now are the weeds. While everything else wilts from the heat and humidity, they seem to thrive.
